Tim Buchanan is a Wiradjuri artist and activist who is passionate about grassroots and participatory models of social change. Tim explores post-humanity, Indigenous identity, virtual disembodiment and the effect that integrated technology has on our lives. Tim is politically motivated in the work they create and seeks to dissect the absurdity of our current political climates inability to remove itself from the deeply vested modes of the hyper-capitalist class. When abusive power and control become our everyday reality, how do we react? Tim was a featured artist in The Lock-Up’s 2018 Bender, and their work ‘Dust on Dust’ won the Helen and Chris Ford Prize through Watt Space Gallery in 2018.
