Calling all Animals!
The Critical Animals Symposium is bringing the ‘Madness of Many’ to Newcastle this year and we need you!
If you love art, new media, print, literature and performance and would like to immerse yourself in the 2016 ‘This is not Art’ (TiNA) festival, volunteer to help us bring our amazing instalments to life.
We are looking for animals with an interest in exploring Newcastle’s thriving art scene and immersing themselves in all that TiNA has to offer. Candidates need no special skills, just enthusiasm and an animal appetite for fun!
We will need;
1 x Assistant Curator – you will work with the Critical Animals curator installing and de-stalling the official exhibition at The Lock-Up.
2 x Event Assistants – You will assist in the planning and production of events over the TiNA weekend. You will need to Greet and usher at the events, support presenters and set up equipment.
1 x Photographer – You will be taking photos at panels, installations and events for the the Critical Animals Catalogue.
4 x Installation Invigilators – You will assist with the maintenance of public installations.
4 x Official Exhibition/Open Night Invigilators – You will assist in monitoring the gallery and artworks. You will also distribute programs and tend the bar on opening night. (RSA needed).
